Hi, I am Luis Eduardo Salazar, a ten year old artist and I live in Redmond, WA. I make unique and special bookmarks!

I share profit with the United Way of King County so I can help them end Homelessness. You can help too by either buying a bookmark or going to the United Way Website and learning how to help.

Each bookmark is hand painted by me and it is signed and numbered. I finished each one with a protective and transparent coat, so it will resist moisture and will not damage your books. I hope you buy one soon!

I can only ship in the continental USA. It will take between 7 to 12 days for you to receive your bookmark. (Maybe more if suddenly lots of people buy my bookmarks. I will send you an email if I will have delays)

Each one is only $9.99 + 1.75 for shipping and handling (you know, buying an envelope, stamp and sending it via United States Postal Service). Your $9.99 is transformed into $18 thanks to the matching funds from my dad and Microsoft!

On 3/7/08 - Radio Interview with the Don & Ron Show in 710 Kiro AM - Seattle.  These guys rock! they gave me a check for $250. I am sharing $125 with the United way, my dad matched it and Microsoft too, so United Way got $375! You can hear the interview here

March 2008 - Interview with Mr. Jon Fine, posted on the united Way web site. Take a look HERE

New 2008 collection available! Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees bookmarks are for sale. My goal is to raise $5,000 in 2008 for the United Way of King County with this colection and future ones. Per every bookmark that I sell, $3.99 are for buying material and pay me a bit. I donate $6 to the United Way, my dad matches it with another $6 and Microsoft matches it too, so I raise $18 per every bookmark sold!

On 12/18/07 I sent my second $100 check to United Way and the check for $100 to the Olympic Part Institute. My dad matched it and so did Microsoft, so in total we gave $300 to each organization!!!!!

On 11/27/07 I was fortunate to meet with the C.E.O. of United Way of King County Mr. Jon Fine and Mr. Jared Erlandson, Public Relations Manager to talk about how to fight homelessness as well as give them the check for the first $100 I raised!

We talked about how they give homeless people food and shelter but also help solve the main problem of why they are homeless. People can help in 3 different ways, either by giving money, giving time by working as a volunteer or telling others about United Way and helping raise awareness of homelessness and how United Way can help.

Mr. Jon Fine CEO of United Way, receives my check

So you know, not all the bookmarks are "exactly" like the ones you see in the picture because they are "handcrafted" , but they are still awesome!

Transactions are SECURE via Paypal - My dad set this up. You can pay with VISA, MASTERCARD or your PAYPAL account!
